Our chosen Partners

ABC has identified partners who are experts in the field of prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) from whom we can learn and with whom we can extend our support to communities in need.

Mildmay Uganda is one of the biggest HIV care treatment providers in central Uganda.  Mildmay Uganda is an independent organisation but works within the historical culture and values of the Mildmay Family which has activities in UK and Kenya.

The DREAM programme of Sant’Egidio operates in 10 countries: Angola, Cameroon, Congo RDC, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Tanzania, Republic of Guinea and Swaziland.

Both partners have excellent rural community outreach – and achieve sustainable low cost operations by training local health village teams and deploying expert mothers as mentors.

They take specialised medical teams into the rural communities so that women and children don’t need to make long journeys on foot to reach medical advice and services.

Both operate to the highest medical standards and are independently audited.

Fundraising allows them to offer their medical treatment free of charge.

More information is available through the links provided on the left.

There are many ways in which Rotary can support their work in cash or kind. Get in touch to find out how you can help >>
