We have worked with over 127,000 individuals in Uganda and seen many babies born HIV free. This humanitarian work with mothers and children has made a lasting impact on HIV transmission in hard to reach rural communities.
More recently ABC has supported other leading charities working with HIV to extend their maternal and child health programmes in Uganda and other developing countries.
We see great opportunities to include a prevention of mother to child HIV transmission (PMTCT) programme in Rotarian Family Health Days. Here Rotarians have the opportunity for hands on participation. Family Health Days bring medical support directly into poorly served communities
